She even starred in a movie titled “The Bodyguard,” a film centered on the relationship between a superstar and her bodyguard. Interestingly, the film had a lot to do with her real-life bodyguard, David Roberts, a former Welsh police officer.

However, Roberts only managed to work with Houston from 1988 to 1995 when he was fired for shedding light on the star’s questionable wellbeing. Sadly, the popular star died years later and Roberts, being saddened by the incident, noted that if everyone had listened to him, the star would still be alive.
