Iggy Pop, born James Newell Osterberg Jr., is often referred to as the “Godfather of Punk” due to his groundbreaking musical career in the 1960s. Iggy was an avid participant in the punk movement of the late 1970s, particularly in his role as lead singer and primary songwriter for the seminal punk band The Stooges, which disbanded decades ago. So, it stands to reason that Iggy’s taste has evolved as well. The singer from “Lust for Life” has grown her hair out to shoulder length, and the change is striking. He has remained productive over the years, with collaborations with Catherine Graindorge and Clio in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
