#14 Joe Walsh
Joe Walsh was born in 1947 on the 20th of November in Kansas. As his middle name “Fiddler” would suggest, Joe turned out to be an incredibly iconic musician. The guitar playing legend found success with several bands, which includes the beloved and timeless group the Eagles. There’s hardly anyone that hasn’t enjoyed his unique rhythm-and-bass guitar playing styles at one point or another.
Despite joining the Eagles late, one of their greatest hits “Hotel California” was released in 1975, which just so happens to be the very same year that Walsh joined the iconic legends. The song also features an impressive guitar solo played by Joe Walsh. Otherwise, the guitarist is also renowned for songs like “Funk #49” and “Rocky Mountain Way.”
#13 Prince
Prince Nelson was born in 1958 on the 7th of June in Minnesota. During the height of his career as a musician, he was seen as a prodigy for his undeniable talents. In addition to this, his on-stage presence was mesmerizing, not to mention his insanely impressive guitar skills. It is believed that he wrote his very first song titled “Funk Machine” when he was just seven years old.
While many believe that Prince was influenced by Jimi Hendrix, he reportedly corrects the belief in saying that “If they really listened to my stuff, they’d hear more of a Santana influence than Jimi Hendrix.” Some of the icons most celebrated songs include “Purple Rain” and “When Doves Cry.”
