Unbelievable is about a young girl (Kaitlyn Dever) who was accused of lying about being sexually raped and sentenced to jail for lying about being sexually molested. Two female detectives (Toni Collette and Merritt Wever) are entrusted with following the trail of evidence to discover the truth about what happened. The Marshall Project and ProPublica worked on a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigation in 2015 that served as the inspiration for the eight-part HBO television series of the same name.

Netflix revealed in May 2020 that the series would be renewed for a third season, which will premiere in 2020. The series is now streaming on Netflix.
