We now move to a very different part of the world to our usual entries with the Single Leg Amputee Sports Club of Sierra Leone where a thrilling soccer game is underway. Pictured are Maxwell Fornah and Victor Musa scrambling for the ball. These were two of the 6,000 people who were dismembered by a bloody civil war in the country. Not that these atrocities stopped these gentlemen from living their lives to the fullest!

John McEnroe is famous for his theatrics and emotional outbursts, with his victory over Bjorn Borg during this decisive 1981 Wimbledon match being one of his most sensational celebrations. Similar performances would be witnessed two more times on the Wimbledon courts in 1983 and 1984. If you thought that today’s tennis superstars are emotional, you should know that this culture of tantrums and exultations is decades’ old. This isn’t surprising given how intense and stressful some matches can become.
