Like James Franco, Tom Hiddleston wished for a hero role, but ended up playing the bad guy, as was the case with his eventual Loki part being handed to him, despite having auditioned for the part of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hiddleston had the audition tape for his Thor tryout replayed for him when he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Chuckles aside, Hiddleston did admit that the correct actor was cast for the role of Thor.
