Paul Wesley was not out of the race yet, however. Rather, he went for the part of Stefan, which we all know he landed. Incredibly, Wesley would have made a better Stefan than the casting crew had imagined. That being said, fans of the series might struggle to see it Welsey’s way.

The Friends character that so many of us love to hate, Chandler, might have been completely different if the multi-talented Jon Favreau’s audition for the part had been successful. When Matthew Perry appeared after Favreau’s tryout, the producers warmed up to him incredibly. That did not mean that Favreau would be completely excluded, however, and he was called back to play a love interest of the character Monica, called Peter Becker.
