After molesting Mama June’s daughter, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, Mark McDaniel was arrested and spent 10 years in jail on charges of sexual offence. McDaniel, who is 10 years younger than Mama June, was accused by Caldwell of repeatedly molesting her in 2002 while she slept alongside her then 3-year-old sister. But when he showed up in the family’s lives again as Mama June’s new beau, the outrage sparked the show’s cancellation. Mama June only apologized after they broke up.
