“The silent airport” policy was to blame for Mr Gray’s problems on this day. The policy dictates that no final boarding calls are done over the tannoy anymore. They were left feeling very frustrated.

Mr Gray couldn’t help but get suspicious when he was told by a helpdesk at Bristol Airport that there is no such thing as a “silent airport policy” and it did not make it better when he found out that the gate had actually only closed at 7:12 am.
