9. Karen Carpenter (1950 – 1983)
Karen Carpenter was a member of “The Carpenters” where she used to play the drums and her older brother, Richard used to sing. She was described as one of the best female vocalists in the world by Paul McCartney.
Sadly, she suffered from anorexia nervosa for several years and died at the age of 32 from the same disease, but her voice lives on.
8. Christina Aguilera (1980 – )
She made her debut by making her album come first right across the chart by spawning three number-one hit singles in the US. “Genie in a Bottle,” “What a Girl Wants,” and “Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)” all were worth listening to.
She has sold globally over 75 million singles and albums. She has also received five Grammys and is an inspiration to a lot of people like Sam Smith, Tinashe, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, and many more.
