Let us now meet the mother of the Deane sisters, Debra. This is an incredibly supportive mom who always nurtured her twins and their incredible bond. She had considered how her daughters’ marriages would pan out, however, and the likelihood that their children would each end up having four parents! While it is difficult to empathize with the needs of twins when you are not one yourself, Debra knew her special daughters inside and out.

As you can imagine, plenty of people found the joined family setup that the Deane and Salyer twins envisioned to be quite strange, if not disturbing. They could not understand how any family could be happy or healthy when they were living on top of each other like this. Maybe this was a sentiment that these twins found essential for their lives that ordinary people could not understand. Many identical twins are simply inseparable and codependent. Granted, the Deane and Salyer twins could care less about the criticisms.
