Ali Afshar
Ali Ashfar played the character of Osman Rashid on JAG. This actor’s family fled the Iranian Revolution before setting up home in California, and his life actually got turned into a feature film produced by Warner Bros, called American Wrestler: The Wizard. In an interview with The Washington Times, he said “This movie is about me and my family. Obviously, we made it a more entertaining story, so we took some Hollywood liberties. But the whole theme of this movie is hope, inspiration — showing the American dream.” Pretty inspirational is you ask us!
