It would be a couple of seasons before the pair finally locked lips, in the finale of season 4 nevertheless, and fans were thrilled that it had finally happened. Lorelai and Luke had such a passionate kiss that was so out of the blue, that few viewers actually saw it coming. While their relationship was tumultuous, there can be no denying that their first kiss was unforgettable, to the crew, fans and the participants themselves.

Fox and Scully are two of the most loved characters in 90’s TV history. The pair would investigate supernatural phenomena together each week, while also siphoning off some sexual tension between them whenever possible. Fans were keen to see a romance develop and while the chemistry between David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson was undeniable, the creator of the show was adamant that a romance would spoil what was already a great series with strong characters.
