The Lion In Winter
Middle ages films nowadays aim to correctly reflect the struggles faced by those in the lower and middle sectors of the society, whereas older films focused on the affluent lifestyle of the rich. And though the personas involved in the film “The Lion in Winter” appear polished, this is understandable given the movie’s focus on the monarchy. Its strongest point, though, is its portrayal of Henry Curtmantle, King Of England.
The movie centers on his inability to select the one who would follow his steps, which was then used by the people around him, including his own family, to manipulate him. Many were amazed by this and has garnered multiple recognitions.
Moneyball
“Moneyball” was inspired by author Michael Lewis’ popular literary work. It depicts the incredible real journey of a sports manager who was able to go against the odds that were stacked high against him and was able to establish a culture of success and victory for the team that was under his care. This is a classic story of rising from the ashes and setting an example.
The majority of those involved believe that the movie stayed mainly true to the information and details, albeit some incidents were rearranged. This was clearly not a big deal though as the movie was able to be recognized for several awards.
