Suffragette
Suffragette, the famous movie about British women fighting for the right to participate in elections and select their leaders in the early 20th century, is unique among films about the subject since it concentrates on women present in the workforce. Laura Schwartz, a renowned expert in the field of British history, commended the concentration on realistic persons working in a laundry shop.
The movie itself became so accurate and period correct because the production team was lucky enough to have two of the prominent figures of the movement to be involved in the process.
Tora! Tora! Tora!
Despite having attractive leading males and plenty of fireworks, Filmmaker Michael Bay’s picture “Pearl Harbor” isn’t really based on historical events. The movie “Tora! Tora! Tora!” comes the nearest to accurately portraying the event that sparked the beginning of the worst and biggest war in modern history.
Portions of the movie were filmed on genuine vessels from that period that were lucky enough to survive the war. The production team was lucky to have that benefits present for them during the production process.
