Babe Ruth
This enormous and adoring crowd was captured in 1926 as they swarmed their hero, Babe Ruth, the legendary outfielder for the New York Yankees. They had good cause to celebrate, as Ruth’s season of that year included 146 RBI with a .372 hit rating and 47 home runs. This was a man that was more than just a sportsman, he was an icon and a source of constant inspiration for his countless and obsessed fans.

Jack Nicklaus
It was on April 13, 1986, at the Masters that Jack Nicklaus victoriously swung his putt as he managed to sink the golf ball that gained him the victory. Nicklaus managed to best Greg Norman and Tom Kite both as he shot 65. As you can see, the golfer was no spring chicken at this time, being the most mature player to take the Masters at 46 years old. It just so happened to be his 18th professional major, which was a sensational record.
