Brad Pitt was caught off guard with the first punch during the David Fincher’s Fight Club fight scene. One could see Pitt addressing Edward Norton based on the script, then shortly after seeing the two going into a scuffle, resulting in the blow to the side of the head. It was obvious that Pitt felt the blow and was genuine with his feelings. During an interview with Jimmy Fallon back in 2019, Norton admitted Fincher instructed him to make the punch look natural, and not knowing what to do, he had to just hit him in the ear.
