#4 Chuck Berry
Charles Berry, known as Chuck, was born in 1926 on the 18th of October in St.Louis, Missouri. The incredible blues-style that he developed throughout his career has served as an inspiration to several of the greatest guitarists in history.
Some of his greatest hits include songs like “Maybellene” and Roll Over Beethoven.” However, “Johnny B. Goode” is considered to have one of the most incredible guitar solos throughout history. Together with several other iconic musicians, Berry can be thanked for the creation of rock ‘n roll as we know it.
#3 Jimmy Page
Jimmy Page was born in 1944 on the 9th of January in Middlesex, England. As shown in the photograph below, he is one of the iconic legends that made a name for himself playing two guitars with just one arm. Even though he was not missing an arm, he played the double-necked Gibson guitar and brought some of the most genius heavy solos and rhythms to life with ease. His dark and folkloric sound would stun several generations of impressed fans.
Page was the lead guitarist for the legendary band Led Zeppelin and he also wrote music. Some of his most timeless and iconic hit songs are “Kashmir” and “Heartbreaker.” He was known by the band to be consistent in finely tuning his guitars in the studio to create only the most perfect sounds.
