Hollywood seems to have diminished the idea of portraying trusty sidekicks in their movie productions of these days. Celebrities of the time who were famous for their roles in similar positions across a genre would share their space with whom we would call a loyal sidekick, and for Rogers, he had a few of them.
During his active years, Rogers would be joined in a lot of films by actors cush as George Hayes, Smiley Burnette, Pat Brady, and Andy Devine. He referred to them as veteran sidekick actors.

Rogers’ active years would see him not only as an actor and singer but also as a businessman who capitalized on the offers of being asked to be the highlight of products and advertisements. This feature led him to be the face (both physically and in the name) of many products to include a chain of a restaurant operated by the Marriott Company. The company used his label for many of their restaurants during the 1960s.
The Roy Rogers Restaurant came to light, and even though his name was attached to it, he never took part in their overall operation. He only sat back and collected his due share of the deal.
