NANETTE FABRAY, 97 YEARS OLD

Nanette Fabray began her career in the entertainment industry at the young age of 3 in the Vaudeville arena, going on to demonstrate her skills in tap dancing and singing. Fabray went on to perform in Broadway, before making the move to the big screen, going on to win Emmy and Tony Awards for various performances. While she was young she had a hard time in school which led her to believe that she had some kind of learning difficulties, she later learned that she actually had a conductive hearing loss. This discovery led Fabray onto the path of becoming an advocate of deaf people’s rights.
