A Great Unease
It wasn’t too long before Grace noticed that there was great tension between John and Anna. This gave Grace an uneasy feeling. She noticed that every time Anna and John were alone, Anna would find an excuse to get near him. There was no doubt in Grace’s mind that Anna was attempting to seduce her husband. She waited to see how John would react. She was glued to her seat. Suddenly, there was a knock.

It was the babysitter Anna. She had come by unexpectedly to get her check for the month. She announced that John was expecting her. Grace had to force herself to stay calm and smile. It was at that moment that John showed up. He greeted her. Grace was about to pay, reaching for her purse when John said not to worry, he’d pay. He walked Anna out to her care where he’d pay her himself.
