This had been the final push that Grace had needed to finally get help with the depression that she was suffering. She went to a doctor, and they explained that this wasn’t uncommon. In fact, the condition affects between ten and twenty percent of new mothers. She began treatment with antidepressants and started seeing a psychiatrist. John was with her the whole way, and she no longer felt as if it was all on her.
