It was clear that he was trying to sidestep having to talk about it, in the same way he had done when they first got together, and Sara asked about his past. Sara was up for many nights wondering about his actions, and his subsequent lies. In the past, when Mark returned from a long trip, he was overly affectionate with Sara. They were often intimate, and had a healthy sexual relationship. At this point, things were starting to go South in that department too. Their romance was beginning to fizzle, and he was no longer interested in cuddling or being close to Sara.
