Upon reflection about the situation, Sara realized that she would have probably reacted negatively to Eric if she had met him back when she and Mark first got married. It might even have been a blessing in disguise to connect with him now that his life was back on track. She was still apprehensive but was more relieved that the truth had been revealed, and she now had all the information she needed to continue with her marriage.

In the months that followed, the couple repaired their relationship and vowed to recommit to each other once again. In a bizarre twist, the picture that had caused all the problems at the beginning now hangs proudly in their lounge, as a sign of affection to Eric and his family. As with most things in life, the truth will always out, and in the case of Millers, the end result meant that everyone could move on with life, and grow closer in the process as well.
