When they got to talking a little more, Sara realized that Mark didn’t want to share too much about his past. He was more reserved than she had hoped he would be, but at that stage, she thought that he would eventually warm to her enough in order to share more of where he came from, and who his family is. He did share some information, but in the midst of infatuation, she didn’t pay those minor details too much attention.

Moving Around A Lot
Mark did tell Sara that he moved around a lot as a child, and had recently relocated from another city to start over. He was secretive about exactly where he came from, which did raise some red flags for Sara. At that time, Sara wasn’t all too keen to ask too many questions, choosing to rather just enjoy the moment. This would be something she would regret later on in life, when his secrets were revealed.
