Paul Schaffer – Making Music Over Seinfeld

We’ll Be Here the Rest of Our Lives is a 2009 memoir by Paul Schafer where he detailed how Jerry Seinfeld approached him to play the part of George Constanza for the timeless sitcom, Seinfeld. Amazingly, Seinfeld was so keen on taking Schaffer on that he informed him that he need not audition as the role was for him. Schaffer then responded by saying that he had too much on his plate in the musical department. Too bad for the music maker, who missed out on one of television’s greatest works.

Tom Hanks That Thing You Do Over Jerry McGuire

As told by Cameron Crowe, the Jerry McGuire director, Tom Hanks was penned for top billing in the romcom. Hanks had his hand full with That Thing You Do as director, leaving the path clear for Tom Cruise. Hanks was modest enough to sing Cruise’s praises, however, confessing that he was born to play the role. Hanks could not have done a better job, he said, one that no other actor was capable of doing as well as Cruise.
