Alex Vause is played by Laure Prepon in Orange Is the New Black, who is the former partner of the troubled Piper Chapman character. Although we could not think of a person that could embody Alex better, Prepon was keen on playing Piper. Regardless, Jeni Kohan was not convinced that Prepon could play the harmless Piper, and Alex’s role was then geared around Prepon’s organic self, with the formation of the original and incredible Alex role.

Grey’s Anatomy Nearly Cast Sandra Oh As Miranda Baily
Grey’s Anatomy’s Dr. Christina Yang seemed to have been made for Sandra Oh, but this fated performance nearly didn’t happen. Oh initially was called in to try out for Baily, who then decided that Christina Yang was more up her street. Show creator Shonda Rhimes believed that Oh’s energy was refreshing, and that she had been gearing Yang around Oh’s personality and behavior. Miranda Bailey would then end up going to Chandra Wilson, and the rest is history.
