Tom Selleck – Mangum P.I., Over Indiana Jones
When Steven Spielberg saw how dashing and charismatic Harrison Ford was in George Lucas’s Star Wars as the bad boy Han Solo, the Indiana Jones director wanted Ford to play the courageous archeologist, too. George Lucas, who happened to be the producer for the relic hunting film, did not feel the same way as Spielberg, however. As Lucas did not want to see Ford appear in more of his work, the producer pushed for Tom Selleck to step in. Given Selleck’s commitments to Mangum P.I., he would be forced to walk away, and Ford took up the whip.
Hugh Jackman – X-Men 2 Over James Bond
Can you imagine Hugh Jackman as James Bond? Neither can we, but the beefy Australian actor recently admitted that he was in line to be the next Agent 007 for Casino Royale. While Jackman would have loved to be Britain’s favorite spy, he was unable to shake his legal commitments to X2: X-Men United. Daniel Craig then came to the rescue, becoming the modern James Bond that we all know and love. As for Jackman, he still hopes to be given a chance to play Bond in the future.
