As a result of the rapid deterioration of his health, André the Giant had to commit to less wrestling gigs towards the latter stages of his life. His final event was in Madison Square Garden, which many fans remember for the now-infamous wedding between Miss Elizabeth and Randy Savage.

The year would wrap with André performing in English with the WWF, returning to the wrong for the last time in the 1992 Survivor Series. In January of the following year, he passed away.
