It’s safe to assume that Van Dien was at the height of his acting abilities in Starship Troopers. It’s unquestionably what moviegoers will recall him for. This was a real bummer for Van Dien, who had high expectations of having a successful acting career in Hollywood. Tarzan and the Lost City, in which he appeared, did not fare well at the box office. That choice to repeat Rico in the dreadful third Starship Troopers film was another example of his shoddy taste in acting roles. He also featured in Mortal Kombat: Legacy’s second season as Johnny Cage, an arrogant character.

Brenda Strong As Captain Deladier
For the most part, Starship Troopers takes place in space as humanity’s massive spacecraft fought an interplanetary war against the superbugs that lurked in the depths of the galaxy. As Captain Deladier, Brenda Strong guides Zander Barcalow and Carmen Ibanez, through their spacefaring fights against the “Arachnids.” Though she met a terribly cruel end when her ship was blasted to pieces. Strong did an outstanding job portraying a strong, bright, and unflinching female officer on the battlefield.
