Kurt and Goldie have been an inspirational couple for a total of 35 years now and even though most of their enchanted fans have been waiting for their ceremonial union, the couple has still not married. “What is marriage going to do for us?” Goldie has explained vaguely how she feels about marriage to Kurt and her children are fully supportive of her unconventional relationship with Kurt. Despite no plans for wedding bells, the couple did take part in a celebration together.

Goldie told Vanity Fair during an interview that the decision to avoid marriage has kept them together and she believes that they would have been divorced by now if they had married. “There’s something psychological about not being married because it gives you the freedom to make decisions one way or the other. For me, I chose to stay. Kurt chose to stay, and we like the choice,” Goldie’s opinion makes sense on a completely notable level and Kurt feels that his decision to stay is also based on the same principles.
