Before acting, Kurt Russel was a budding baseball player hoping to make it like a pro. As a young child he had hoped to follow in his father’s footsteps and he decided to sign up for the minor leagues. He managed to make quite a name for himself as the second baseman for both the Bend Rainbows and the Walla Walla Islanders. However, after tearing his rotator cuff he had to quit, and he decided to take up acting once again.
