
The Heroes Of JAG Where Are They Now
Everyone loved JAG! The hit show first came on our screens in 1995 and ran for ten seasons until 2005. One of the most influential television shows, the beloved characters Dan Bellisario (the show’s creator) gave us like Mac, Harm and many more, found a place in our hearts, and the show is still very much missed today! So we thought it was high time we revisited our adored JAG and its stars, to find out what they are up to now, as well as a sneak-peek into their current love lives!

Patrick Labyorteaux, who played Captain Bud, also carried on acting (thank goodness!) as well as doing quite a bit of voice acting for cartoons like Spiderman: The Animated Series. He appeared twice in NCIS and even created and produced a show for Nick at Night called See Dad, along with his wife Tina Albanese.

John M. Jackson portrayed the much loved JAG character of Rear Admiral A.J., known for his loyalty. Rear Admiral A.J. also appeared in the spin-off show, NCIS: Los Angeles. Since JAG, John has also acted in movies such as Gifted, with Jenny Slate and Chris Evans.

Karri Turner
Karri Turner is in our hearts as Lt. Harriet Sims, but what you may not know is that she is also a traveling comedienne, who has given performances for American soldiers with the likes of Michael McDonald and Kathy Griffin. As of yet, she has performed in more than thirteen tours across the USA! That is not to say she has stopped acting though! She has appeared in a number of episodes of Heroes, as well as in the film Hurricane in the Rose Garden. We look forward to seeing what Karri does next!

Chuck Carrington who played Petty Officer First Class Jason Tiner, is one of those characters who cannot be forgotten and left fans broken-hearted when he left to go to Officer Candidate School in season nine. After JAG, Chuck played the character of Renny Jacobsen in the film The List and also was the guest star on Shameless.

Scott Lawrence played the character of Commander Sturgis in JAG, and that was only the start of what has become a successful career for him. Not only did he appear in eight seasons of NCIS, but he was also crew chief for the blockbuster 3D movie, Avatar, but he also featured at Maurice in the film The Social Network, as well as having a role in Star Trek: Into Darkness and Star Trek: Voyager.

Zoe McLellan featured at Petty Officer Jen on JAG. Later, she took the role of Meredith Brody on NCIS: New Orleans, as well as a role on ABC’s series Dirty Sexy Money. Zoe also acted in shows such as House, Designated Survivor, and The Mentalist.

Randy Vasquez
Randy Vasquez had the role of Gunnery Sergeant Victor Galindez, and thankfully for the fans of his gorgeous dimpled smile, Randy didn’t quit Hollywood after JAG ended. Randy played the character of Deputy District Attorney Lou Escobar in Bosch, as well as appearing in CSI: Miami. Randy was also the director of comedy-drama Perceptions in 2005.

Trevor Goddard
Trevor Goddard played the character of Lt. Commander Michael Brumby or Mic between 1998 and 2001, a role which largely increased his fan base. Sadly Trevor died of a drug overdose in his LA home in 2003. Prior to his untimely death, the English actor was considered for the role of James Bond in Casino Royale.

In JAG, Steven Culp played the FBI agent Clayton Webb, but he has many more acting credits under his belt. He featured in The West Wing, NCIS, and 24, as well as hospital drama ER, and is known by many for his role as Rex Van de Kamp on Desperate Housewives. In fact, he managed to juggle playing all the roles simultaneously, at the same time as JAG, as well as a guest spot in CSI and some other gigs. Now that is a hard worker for you!

Nanci Chambers played the role of Lt. Loren Singer. In 1992 Nanci and JAG co-star David James Elliot got married and since have been promoting concerns for environmental issues together, even traveling to the rainforests in Ecuador to learn more about the natural environment there and the local tribes. Chambers has also continued acting and played roles in shows like The Stranger I Married, and Save Our Souls.

Paul Collins
Paul Collins portrayed the unforgettable character of Alexander Nelson, former Navy Secretary. Paul has also acted in a good number of other shows such as The West Wing, Boston Legal, Guiding Light, and Sons of Anarchy, and even starred on the big screen too, in films like Montana Amazon and Even Almighty.

Michael Angelo Bellisario acted the role of Midshipman Third Class Michael Roberts, and is actually the son of the creator of the show, Dan Bellisario! He later played a lab assistant in NCIS, and appeared in a few episodes of Quantum Leap.

Cindy Ambuehl played the character of Renee Peterson on JAG. When the show finished, Cindy played in another long-standing show, The Bold and the Beautiful. Today has twin boys with her husband, fellow actor, Don Diamonet.

Harrison Page is known to JAG fans as Rear Admiral Stiles Morris, but he has quite a number of acting credits under his belt, including appearances on CSI, Grey’s Anatomy, Players at the Poker Palace, amongst others, as well as a number of films. He has been married to Christina Giles since December 1989, and they have one child together.

Jennifer Savidge
Jennifer Savidge played Commander Amy Helfman on JAG. She is also known for her roles in St. Elsewhere as Nurse Lucy and in American Crime as Ruth Taylor. She married a fellow actor, Robert Fuller in 2001.

Tracey Needham was in the first season of JAG as Megan Austin, or Meg. She also acted in Life Goes On as Paige, had a variety of roles on Veronica Mars, the film The Last Harbor, and played Inspector Candice DeLorenzo on The Division. Tracey has one daughter with her husband, Tommy Hinkley.

Anne-Marie Johnson played Congresswoman Roberta Latham, aka Bobbi. Other than JAG, Anne-Marie appeared in shows such as NCIS, Pretty Little Liars, Boston Legal, Grey’s Anatomy, That’s So Raven, to name just a few! Anne-Marie also made history in becoming the first Vice President of the Screen Actors Guild in 2005! Now that’s something to be proud of!

In the later seasons of JAG, Isabella Hofmann played Professor Meredith Cavanaugh. She also had guest performances in NCIS, the spin-off to JAG. Isabella also appeared in The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, as well as playing Clarissa Stein in Supergirl. She has a son named Atticus with Daniel Baldwin who she dated in the 1990s.

David Andrews played the character of Major General Gordon Cresswell, or Biff, on JAG, and since then he has added many more acting credits to his name! He played Secretary Frommer in The Whispers and has given many guest appearances on various shows such as Crisis, Brothers and Sisters, and How to Get Away with Murder, amongst other things.

Hallee Hirsh played the young Mattie Grace Johnson on JAG, accumulating fans for her JAG role as well as for playing Rachel on ER. Hallee also starred in the movie Speak alongside Kirsten Stewart, and in Flight 29 Down. She has one son and lives with her husband in North Carolina.

W.K. Stratton is known for the character of Commander Ted Lindsey as well as for his performances on Quantum Leap. Stratton has done quite a bit since his JAG days, for example, did you know that he was the voice of Walla in Transformers: The Game?

The Jordanian actor, Zuhair Haddad played the character of Anwar Sahaj on JAG, and that was far from the end of his acting career! He had roles in television shows such as The Affair, playing the character of Abdul Ullah, and acted in films such as The Hangover Part III, The Scorpion King, and The Pursuit of Happiness. He has also done quite a lot of voice acting for games and cartoons alike.

Rif Hutton played Lt. Commander Alan Mattoni in JAG. Before that he played Dr. Ron Welch in Doogie Howser, M.D., and since JAG finished he has acted in quite a lot of shows since! These include Cold Case, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Criminal Minds, That’s So Raven, CSI, SEAL Team, Cowboy, and Indiana, and Bosch.

John DeMita, who played Colonel Clifford Blakely, has since appeared on our screens in shows such as Flight of Passage, NCIS, and even Michael Jackson’s Halloween. And although you didn’t see him, his voice was doing the acting on shows like Naruto, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Hunter x Hunter, and Dragon Ball Super. He has two children with fellow actress Julia Fletcher.

Matt Sigloch was not just the actor who played the character of Tom Androvich on JAG, he also had the important role of being the show’s Military Technical Advisor thanks to his military background. Once JAG finished, he actually founded his own company to carry out this role of assisting with technical tactics on television, called Sigloch Military-Tactical. They have worked on shows like Criminal Minds, American Horror Story, Rosewood, and Scandal.

Jeff MacKay
Jeff MacKay was Big Bud Roberts on JAG, as well as Macon Magnum, P.I., and has played in a number of things since then. He featured in Black Sheep Squadron, The Greatest American Hero, Battlestar Galactica, as well as the voice of Fireflight in Transformers. Sadly his last role was as Larry Carter in December, before he died in 2008 at just 59 years of age.

Another JAG actor and Quantum Leap veteran is Dean Stockwell. He played Senator Edward Sheffield in the former, and Al Calavicci in the latter. After JAG Dean continued to act, and appeared in shows like Entertainment, Battlestar Galactica, and Deep in the Darkness.

John D’Aquino’s acting career definitely didn’t end with JAG. Stuart Dunston in JAG, D’Aquino went on to act in television shows such as Dexter, NCIS, and Hannah Montana. Today he is playing the role of President Richard Martinez in Disney’s Cory in the House, as well as acting in InSanity: Florida as Harris Smith.

This is another actor who went from strength to strength since playing the character of Admiral Thomas Boone in JAG. He played the character of General Nicholas Alexander on The West Wing, the unforgettable John Locke on Lost, and Joe White on Hawaii Five-0. Currently, he is acting in another hit show, The Blacklist: Redemption as the character of Howard Hargrave.

Kevin Fry wasn’t long in JAG as Commander Morton, but he has definitely become quite the actor since! He starred in a few episodes of Scandal, played Kevin in 24, acted in 300: Rise of an Empire, Taken 3, and Sons of Anarchy.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan
This handsome man seems to get ever more good-looking with age, and he was pretty cute, to begin with! After playing Wally, the CIA technician on JAG, he really became popular after his performances in Supernatural as John Winchester, and the adorable Denny on Grey’s Anatomy, amongst other things. He is also making headlines for his performance of his character, Negan, on The Walking Dead.

Dana Sparks was Lt. Commander Carolyn Imes on JAG. Before JAG, Dana appeared in quite a number of shows such as Cover-Up, Falcon Crest, Melrose Place, and L.A. Law. And since JAG she has portrayed the character of Grace Bennet in Passions, appeared on Atlas Shrugged II: The Strike, as well as then becoming the Executive Director of Regenerate Films for a time. She still sits on the board for Regenerate Films as well as producing.

A.J. Tannen was Lt. Alfred Aldridge in JAG, and continued to act on both the small screen and the big screen since then! Appearing in shows such as Transparent, New Girl, Silicon Valley, and films such as The Darkness, where he played Frank Thomas Jr., and in Variant, as Ben.

Cynthia Sikes
Cynthia Sikes was JAG’s Dr. Sidney Walden. She later went on to play in The Young and the Restless as Zara Costelana. Cynthia acted in the film Going Shopping, and played the character of Betty Goodale in Aquarius. Cynthia is now also involved in producing, and was a producer for the smash-hit film Blade Runner 2049 that was released in 2017.

Another actor who has certainly not hung his hat up in the entertainment industry since he played Captain Owen in JAG is Corbin Bernsen. He has acted in General Hospital as John Durant, played Harlan Dexter in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Father Todd Williams in The Young and the Restless, not forgetting Henry Spencer on Psych. Bernsen founded Team Cherokee Productions, his own production company, where he currently works as a writer, producer, and actor.

Chris Beetem, Lt. Gregory Vukovic in JAG, has also gone on to have quite a successful acting career, building up a long list of credits to his name! He played Dan in Emelie, acted in One Tree Hill, As the World Turns, Royal Pains (USA), and has appeared on Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer as well as quite a bit of other stuff too!

Susan Haskell is the Canadian actress who played Lt. Commander Jordan Parker in JAG, otherwise known as Jordi. Although she has now mostly retired from Hollywood, she played Dr. Marty Saybrooke in One Life to Live as well as performing a small role in The Good Shepard.

Mae Whitman also started young in JAG as the character of Chloe Madison, and has since accumulated even more fans for her role on Arrested Development as Anne, AKA Egg. She has also done voice acting for Family Guy, as well as been acting in movies, such as playing Mary Elizabeth in The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Andrea Thompson was Commander Alison Krennick in JAG, and then went on to act in shows such as 24 where she played Nicole Duncan in season three, and in Heroes: Destiny. For a while, she did a stint as a CNN news reporter, but after a while, she came back to acting.

Tamlyn Tomita played the character of Lieutenant Commander Tracy Manetti in JAG. When the show ended she continued acting, having a role in the second season of 24, playing Giselle in General Hospital, she also had the role of Janet Tokada in The Day After Tomorrow and increased her fan base with her role in Teen Wolf as Noshiko Yukimura. Alex Kuznetsov is another JAG star whose acting career has gone from strength to strength since JAG came to an end, and we parted with Captain Alex ‘Alexander’ Volkonov. He played the character of Ostroff in the fifth season of 24, and is currently Oleg in Insomnia. He has also appeared on the big screen in Space Cowboys and in The Bourne Supremacy. Also, video game fans will know his voice from Call of Duty: Finest Hour.

The character of Dalton Lowne was played by Larry Poindexter, and once JAG finished he played Dr. Asher Thomas in General Hospital, as well as Agent Ray Collins in Blade: The Series, he played Father Louis in Days of Our Lives, and starred as Rick Berger in The Hard Times of RJ Berger. Larry also featured alongside Zac Efron in the film 17 Again as Dean.

Trisha Yearwood made quite the impression as Lt. Commander Teresa Coulter in JAG. Since then she continued acting a bit, playing Mary in The Passion, amongst other roles, and was still on our televisions with the cooking show she produced herself, Trisha’s Southern Kitchen. Trisha got married to singer Garth Brook in 2005, which also encouraged her to invest her energy in her musical passion as well.

Richard McGonagle has a voice to remember. He portrayed the character of Richard Carey in JAG, and has since done a lot of voiceover work, voicing the character of General Grievous in Star Wars: Clone Wars, he did voices for Avatar: The Last Airbender, Ben 10, and The Regular Show on Cartoon Network. He also narrated in the hit film 500 Days of Summer.

Italian actor Francesco Quinn was Kabir Atef in JAG, and went on to play Syed Ali in the second season of 24, amongst quite a number of other roles including featuring in many films (as well as television series) such as in Hell Ride, a Quentin Tarantino movie. His final role was as the voice of Dino (Mirage) in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, as he tragically passed away from a heart attack in 2011.

Glenn Morshower was Chief Petty Officer Ned Bannon in JAG, but you might know him better as Aaron Pierce from 24, or Mike Chrysler from the hit show The West Wing. Dylan Neal conquered the hearts of many with his role of Lt. Dalton Jones in JAG. Dylan continues to steal hearts when he featured on Sabrina the Teenage Witch as Aaron Jacobs, and as Doug Witter in Dawson’s Creek, and later as Jack Griffith on Cedar Cove, and most recently in Arrow as Dr. Anthony Ivo.

Will Rothhaar, now a gorgeous looking man, was the child star who played the adorable Josh Pendry in JAG. Will stayed in the acting business, playing Dennis in the film Jack Frost, also appearing in Castle, CSI, Memphis Beat, Workshop, and The Last Resort. He also played Lee Harvey Oswald in Killing Kennedy.

Colonel Bootney was played by Patrick St. Esprit and has since featured in quite a number of television shows. Craig Kirkwood featured as Sean Stiles on JAG, but he is well remembered from his role in the classic film Remember the Titans, where he played Jerry Harris, AKA Rev. He is also known for his roles in Family Matters, Sister Sister, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. In 2006 he took the decision to quit acting in favor of pursuing a law degree and is now practicing law in Los Angeles.

Christina Pickles played the character of Trish in JAG, but she will always be associated with her role in Friends as Ross and Monica’s mother Judy Geller. She has appeared in a number of other shows such as Another World, Guiding Light, and has done some voice acting too for video games and shows like Family Guy, and has received a number of awards and Emmy nominations for her acting. She married journalist and filmmaker Ian Masters in 2005.

Vicellous Shannon is another actor who has gone on to feature in many shows and movies since JAG. He played the character of Midshipman Kevin Dupree in JAG, was Keith Palmer, the son of the President, in the second season of 24, he had a guest role in CSI, as well as roles in Sons of Anarchy and in Bones, and in the film Annapolis.

Catherine Graves was played by Jordana Spiro for a brief time, and went on to act in other shows such as in The Good Wife where she played the character of Detective Jenna Villette, Ozark where she played Rachel, in Harry’s Law as Rachael Miller, and in Blindspot as Sarah Weller.

Michele Dalcin played a number of supporting roles in JAG, and carried on acting after the show ended. In The Long Ride Home, she played Miriam, was Mary Johnson in Grosse Pointe, with her last acting credit being for the movie Redemption of the Ghost, since which she decided to take a step back from the cameras for the time being.

Jameson Parker played CIA Deputy Director Harrison Kershaw in JAG, which was also his last acting credit. Before then he played A.J. Simon from Simon and Simon, and played the same character on Magnum P.I.. Parker had an extremely difficult experience in 1992 when he was shot by a neighbor after an argument they had, but thankfully he made a full recovery, and the neighbor got a nine years sentence. In 2009 he was the narrator for a nature documentary, Endangered Species: California Fish and Game Wardens. Parker also published his memoir called An Accidental Cowboy.

Ben Murphy played Captain Neilson and Lt. Colonel John Farrow on JAG. He featured in Alias Smith and Jones, in Medicine Woman, and in Dr. Quinn, to name but a few. Ben’s last acting credit was his role as Professor Campbell in The Genesis Code.

Ali Ashfar played the character of Osman Rashid on JAG. This actor’s family fled the Iranian Revolution before setting up home in California, and his life actually got turned into a feature film produced by Warner Bros, called American Wrestler: The Wizard. In an interview with The Washington Times, he said “This movie is about me and my family. Obviously, we made it a more entertaining story, so we took some Hollywood liberties. But the whole theme of this movie is hope, inspiration — showing the American dream.” Pretty inspirational is you ask us!

David James Elliot became a fan favorite as the beloved Captain Harmon on JAG, also known as Harm. When the show ended he starred in the film The Stranger I Married (2005), a remake of the film The Man Who Lost Himself, alongside his real-life wife and co-star from JAG, Nanci Chambers. David then went on to act in a number of Canadian dramas, such as The Guard and Close to Home. He is now in Trumbo, as well as playing the character of John Wayne in the hit crime drama, CSI.
