Fans marveled at his capacity to fit into several ludicrous storylines for almost a decade, but by the year 1998, he had had enough.

“I believed that Brandon’s story had pretty well come to an end. I had done all of the things I needed to do with the character,” the actor said in 2014 that there were some regrets in the decision to leave because even though he still believed that Brandon as a person could progress further, the relationship that he nurtured with another character could have actually worked and added another layer of enjoyable content for the show and the fans.
