Amy Carlson stated on social media almost four years ago that she had departed Blue Bloods program. On the episode, she perished in an aviation accident which felt very abrupt. Eventually, Carlson mentioned that she resigned her character as Linda in the show, which played a great supporting role, in order for her to try on other opportunities.

Carlson’s passing in the show happened in between seasons, which infuriated the audience. Carlson claimed that she realized that her demise startled her viewers and colleagues, but her commitment was coming to a close and she genuinely sought to proceed in other passions of her life. Carlson added that actor Donny Wahlberg, which portrayed Danny Reagan for the duration of the program, was “kind” and “gentle” about her withdrawal. Fans may have felt some closure after watching Linda pass away on the show, but all of them agree that she could have gone in a more fitting fashion. The saving grace about all of these is the fact that she was casual and transparent about it rather than secretive and quiet regarding the situation.
