September 8, 2007, and Penn State’s Notre Dame. You might be wondering why the crowd is almost entirely clad in white. This was a 110,078 strong event called a ‘White Out’, where Penn State urged attendees to dress in white for the game held in September 2007. The Beaver Stadium saw its penultimate population ever, as if more people could possibly be packed in! The Notre Dame Fighting Irish team was bested by The Nittany Lions with a final score of 31-10.

Mary Decker
This tragic scene was taken at the 1984 Olympics, where Mary Decker, the former world champion, accidentally barged into Zola Budd of Britain. The clash went down nearly midway into the 3,000-meter dash. Decker was left floored as she was dramatically bashed out of the race. While Budd lost her first place and fell to seventh after recovering from the pounding, all that Decker could do was weep from the sidelines. Thankfully, her ego was the only thing injured.
