Not Willing To Part With Furniture
Unfortunately, Joyce was not at all willing to sell her home and her furniture. This was a great pity, as Joyce’s magnificent furnishings were a massive and enticing draw. This was a slight disadvantage considering homes sell easier when they are fully furnished. In addition to this, the buyer may have difficulty furnishing his home to the remaining decor considering the furniture and design elements dated back to the early 1940s.

Inheritance
Joyce was hoping to keep her furniture as an inheritance for her daughter. These items were worth so much and genuinely irreplaceable to the family. It would be the best solution for Joyce to hold onto her antiques to ensure her daughter is well taken care of. However, it is understandable that Joyce must have been quite reluctant to move from the home after living there for so long. Such a big change would be hard to come to terms with.
