Models, musicians, sports athletes, and Hollywood greats; we decided to check in with some of the biggest female stars from this memorable era, see where they are now, how their careers began, and what the 70s did for them or they did for the 70s.
Linda Ronstadt
Linda Ronstadt is the famous musician who is also known as the “First Lady of Rock” and “Queen of Rock”. She first began performing in Troubadour, West Hollywood, the same place Elton John got his big break. The Queen of Rock went on to win herself 10 Grammy Awards and over 30 gold and platinum records over the span of her career. She continued to perform until 2012 when she was sadly diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease which led to her retirement. In 2013 she published a memoir called Simple Dreams: A Musical Memoir, about her experiences in the limelight.
Goldie Hawn
Goldie Hawn was actually a professional dancer before she became the big movie star we know and love. In 1969 she landed her first big role with Cactus Flower, where she earned herself an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Since then, she has made many movies and made quite a name for herself in Hollywood. She is still acting today, though she took a break in the early 2000s.
