Jean Shrimpton
It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that Jean Shrimpton is on our list as she was considered one of the first supermodels in the world. Time Magazine named her one of the most influential fashion icons of all time. She also featured on the covers of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Vanity Fair, amongst others. The composition of this photograph below, with all these rather creepy dolls, is not lost on us.
Kate Moss
Another British supermodel on our list is Kate Moss. She started her modeling career when she was just 14 and spotted at JFK airport by Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Model Management. Moss rose to fame during the 1990s, featuring on countless magazine covers. Moss is also a contributing fashion editor for British Vogue, as well as a successful businesswoman in her own right.
