No Longer Together
Donna tried to get herself together, but her body was overcome with fatigue as she sobbed deeply. She didn’t know how she’d be able to carry on without Mark. They’d been together for years. This wasn’t the way such a long relationship should end. Then, she saw something on the bed. It was another note. Mark must have left it as an answer to hers. She was on edge. She couldn’t know what it said.

Donna grabbed the note and prepared to read it. She could feel that her heart would break with every word read, but she had to know what the truth of it all is. This had been the purpose of her prank after all. She imagined reading the page and felt herself crying with each word. She believed her fears would be confirmed. At the end of the note, there was a surprise that changed everything.
