Summer Of ’69

As a 1959 baby, Bryan Adams would’ve been ten years old in the setting of one of Adam’s most popular songs, released in 1985. On the other hand, “Summer of ’69” has a sexual reference. The song actually talks about the eponymous sexual position than it meant Adams feeling nostalgic over the youthful days of summer in 1969. However, in an interview with CBS News in 2008, Adams stated that while a many people believe it’s about the time of year, it actually referred more to making out in the summers. It’s making a sexual allusion to the year 1969.

The One I Love

The Georgia natives would glance into the crowd and there were couples kissing. Hpowever, the verse is virulently anti-love. Many people informed me that it was ‘their song.’ Vocalist Michael Stipe evidently shared the same sentiment as Buck, saying in an interview with a magazine called Q in 1992 that he felt the need to not record the track because it was too cruel and very violent and horrible.
