The Pianist
The Pianist primarily was produced after the life story of a prominent figure Wadysaw Szpilman, who is a Polish-born Jewish musician who wrote an autobiography regarding his own experience. The memoir was praised for its very moving account of Szpilman’s survival of the unimaginable struggles people had to endure during the anti-semitic programs of the Nazis.
Roman Polanski, another prominent voice who was passionately concerned about the subject, and because of his personal war experience during the same time, became the mastermind for this masterpiece of a movie.
127 Hours
Aron Ralston, American mountaineer, was enjoying an adventure all by himself in the state of Utah along its wilderness when he got caught by a big stone and had to amputate himself with the tools that he carried with him. He published a book on his life, which became the inspiration for the movie “127 Hours” (the amount of time that he was stuck in the canyon)
The survivor praised the picture for being accurate. He did however point out some small details about his situation in that canyon that the production team could have done better because he felt that that would be something that everyone should know about. Other than that, the essential elements of his story have been properly respected.
