As with most couples, the more time spent together, the more you realize each other’s quirks. Sara knew that Mark did a couple of things that annoyed her, but over and above this she also had a nagging thought that he was hiding something. Even as the years wore on, she could never quite put her finger on it. It would be far too late by the time she learned more about Mark, and what his dreaded past had actually entailed.

He wasn’t even open to talk about where he had moved from before he relocated to Pawnee. This bothered Sara a lot, and as things got more serious it started to plague her thoughts late at night even more. What was it that he was so scared to confide in her about?
